Robroy Industries Conduit Division, a manufacturer of ETL-verified PVC-coated galvanized rigid conduit (Plasti-Bond, Perma-Cote and KorKap), continues to support the local community by donating to five local community organizations: Historic Upshur Museum, the American Cancer Society, Upshur County Community Fund, the American Heart Association and the Gilmer Kiwanis Club.

In February 2016, Robroy Industries donated $125.00 to the Historic Upshur Museum and the Antique Appraisal Fair in support of the 13thAnnual Antique Appraisal Fair held on February 27, 2016. Beginning with the Caddo Indians and into the 21st century, the Historic Upshur Museum offers an interesting and informative history of the county, the creative accomplishments of our citizens, and the uniqueness of the area.

In March 2016, Robroy Industries donated $100.00 to the American Cancer Society as a sponsor for Betty Slocum and her Relay for Life team in Gilmer, Texas. In more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries, Relay For Life events comprise the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Each Relay For Life event is special to its community but the movement’s true power lies in the combined commitment of thousands of participants, volunteers, and supporters helping the American Cancer Society save lives.

Upshur County Community Fund

Also in March, Robroy Industries donated $250.00 to the Upshur County Community Fund. The Upshur County Community Fund is an independent organization raising funds to assist various people and families within Upshur County with 100 percent of the money raised remaining local.

Robroy Industries donated $100.00 to the American Heart Association–Jump Rope for Heart, to support employee Cherie Sims’ son, Maddox Sims, and his school fundraiser. The American Heart Association is a US non-profit organization that fostering appropriate cardiac care to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke.
